'Merry Christmas' wins a skirmish with 'Season's Greetings'

Seasons' greetings lost a march to "Merry Christmas" at the sheriff's party in Larimer, Colorado:

After saying a prayer, singing the Star Spangled-Banner and shaking hands with an atheist, Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden started his Christmas tree-trimming party by inviting people present to wish one another a loud - and what he called politically incorrect - "Merry Christmas."
