Pat Robertson generalizes for 2010

Opting for vagueness of prediction, perhaps in hope of avoiding further failed forecasts, Pat Robertson this year told the 700 Club merely that in 2010 the U.S. is under a cloud of divine wrath and will eventually go bankrupt.

Reasons for God's wrath are as usual wonderfully coherent with Robertson's long-standing condemnation of homosexual rights, abortion and the like and failed calls for Bible reading and prayer in the public schools. None of which alters the outcome what he says God predicted for past years.

For example:

  • 2008: Worldwide violence and American recession
  • 2007: A terrorist attack on U.S. cities that would kill “possibly millions of people.”
  • 1996: Election to the presidency of Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.V.).
  • 1982 and 1992: Russian invasion of Israel.
  • 1985: Worldwide economic collapse.
  • Late 1976: Doomsday in 1982.

Thanks, Pat.
